Governor DAO

Introducing Governor DAO (GDAO), a decentralized autonomous organization empowering other projects and networks to integrate decentralized governance principles into their token models and communities.

Governor DAO offers a comprehensive suite of services, catering to both emerging and established projects:

Proof-of-Existence Whitelist: A tokenized registry of uniquely identifiable Ethereum wallets, providing sybil-resistant contracts for various functions such as voting, airdrops, and token sales.

Metavoting: Clients delegate or lease their project tokens to Governor DAO's treasury, enabling collective voting by Governor community members on their protocols using GDAO.

Contracts/Consultations: Projects benefit from Governor DAO's expertise, utilizing best practices, proprietary smart contracts, and an experienced voting community to facilitate the launch of a functional DAO, implement effective governance, conduct fair token launches, and more.

Governor DAO operates as a genuine DAO, ensuring that token holders maintain full ownership of the project's treasury reserves and revenue. The direction and development of the project are driven by the token holders themselves.

How Many GDAO Tokens Are There in Circulation?

The total supply of GDAO is 2,921,625 (initially 3,000,000 with a portion subject to token burn). Currently, 2,172,362 GDAO tokens are in circulation (as of May 20, 2021).

GDAO was distributed fairly, with a substantial portion airdropped to token holders following the CBDAO exit scam in October 2020. The remaining tokens were allocated to liquidity programs, yield farming, and treasury reserves. No tokens were allocated to the team or for token sale purposes.

Who Are the Founders of Governor DAO?

Governor DAO emerged as a grassroots initiative among token holders who fell victim to the CoinBreeder DAO rug pull. The project was spearheaded by token holders who remained committed to the original vision (DAO of DAOs) and took it upon themselves to realize it.

While some core members of the Governor DAO team are listed on the website, the project operates as a decentralized autonomous organization, with over a dozen community members assuming key "team roles" beyond those individuals.
