Kin

Kin is a decentralized cryptocurrency that was created in 2017 by Kik Inc.

Initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain, Kin migrated to the Solana blockchain in 2020 to benefit from lower transaction fees and greater scalability.

An important feature of Kin is its zero inflation. The total supply of Kin tokens is fully distributed, and no additional tokens will be introduced into circulation.

In 2020, Kik Inc reached a mutual settlement with the United States SEC, which clarified that Kin was not required to be registered as a security. This regulatory clarity sets Kin apart from many other cryptocurrencies.
